Direct Support Professional (DSP)

A Great Opportunity/ $16.00 - $19.00 per hour / Full Time or Part Time / All shifts available

Responsibilities:

• Perform every task with consideration and care for the complete individual with a goal of every client living a healthy and meaningful life.
• Administer bedside or personal care, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes or dishes, or running errands.
  
• Plan, shop for, or prepare nutritious meals or assist families in planning, shopping for, or preparing nutritious meals.
• Transport clients to locations outside the home, such as to physicians' offices or on outings, using a motor vehicle.
• Instruct or advise clients on issues such as household cleanliness, hygiene, and nutrition.
• Perform health care-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication, under the direction of registered nurses or with a medication administration certification.
• Prepare and maintain records of your clients' progress, services performed and changes in condition.
• Meet weekly reporting compliance on clients' goals and health and well-being.

Additional Duties: This is not a complete listing of all responsibilities and/or duties required; other duties may be assigned.

• Ability to independently lift up to 35 pounds.
• Ability to move/reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person and/or adaptive equipment.
• Maintain current CPR certification.
• Maintain current background check.
• Continued Education: completion of state-mandated 8-hour annual training and re-certification.
