Line Cook

NO NIGHTS!!!! NO WEEKENDS!!! NO HOLIDAYS!!! Do you love your job as a cook, but hate the hours? This is the position for you!!! The Crossings Cafe, located at the Nationwide building in Grandview Yard is seeking a line cook for their operations. Great working environment!

The Line Cook is primarily responsible to prepare and cook foods according to recipes and procedures per restaurant/outlet specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Confer with manager on duty about prep list to determine requirements of the day.
• Follow company recipes and procedures when preparing or cooking food.
• Work in a clean, efficient, and organized manner.
• Audit guest checks to be certain all food items are rung up properly.
• Maintain a high standard of hygiene and appearance.
• Assist with controlling costs and waste.
• Observe good sanitation and safety procedures.
• Maintain sense of ownership in respect to kitchen equipment.
• Work effectively and professionally with other departments of the restaurant.
• Assist in opening/closing duties and clean-up work as required.
• Other duties requested by management.

1.Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry a weight of 25lbs

2.Must be able to work walking and or standing continuously for a period of 8 hours

3.Associate may have to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

4.Associate is often required to sit and use his or her hands and fingers to handle or feel

5.Vision abilities required by this job include close vision

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

1.High school diploma or equivalent preferred

2.Prior experience as cook in full service restaurant preferred

3.Ability to work well with others

4. Ability to follow direction
