Together, we're a team of dedicated OB/GYN physicians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, certified nurse-midwives, nurse practitioners and counselors honoring who it is that walks through our door, as they define and know themselves to be. We're here to uplift them, enriching their health and their lives. We take care of 50,000+ beautiful people each year across 16 clinic locations across the Portland area. With 23 rooms featuring new Philips Imaging equipment, you'll have the autonomy of working in an independent ultrasound department, with the full support of our larger practice.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Completion of a formal educational program in Diagnostic Ultrasound or Radiologic Sciences required
  • ARDMS board certification in OB/GYN, or the ability to become board certified within one year of employment
  • Current license with the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging
  • CPR and AED certification (required)
  • Ability to complete and maintain certification in Nuchal Translucency through the Fetal Medicine Foundation or Nuchal Translucency Quality Review program within 6 months of hire (required)
  • Prior experience as a sonographer performing OB and gynecology imaging in an OB/GYN office or hospital setting (preferred)
  • Ability to travel and staff a variety of WHA clinics
  • Competency in use of computer for patient data entry and retrieval, image archiving and report generation
  • Knowledge of complex instrumentation to extract the finest quality equipment performance following As Low As Reasonably Achievable guidelines

SOME OF WHAT YOU'LL DO HERE

  • Recognize anatomical structures and differentiate artifact from normal or pathological processes
  • Determine if anatomy is normal or abnormal; delineate the abnormality and extends the scope of the study appropriately
  • Monitor patient well-being and provide technical assistance to clinician during medical procedures requiring ultrasound guidance
  • Participate with clinician in interpretation of studies, contributing technical and professional knowledge to the final diagnostic impression or report
  • Demonstrate WHA's values in interactions with coworkers, patients and family and deliver our patient experience promise
