About this position:
The System Performance Engineer is responsible for investigating transmission and distribution line operations. They will utilize technology to analyze data, perform field investigations, root cause analysis, evaluate the results of the program and monitor the performance of implemented solutions that are aimed at improving system performance to reduce operational risk.

About this job:
- Utilize technology to investigate the T&D system
- Strong understanding of utility facilities including electric distribution and transmission
- Provide training and support as new products and systems are implemented
- Troubleshoot systems, analyze data, and evaluate results of applied solutions, technologies and programs
- Document, report, and make recommendations to develop long-term support for the increased use of technology in the T&D area
- Perform and coordinate field investigations, root cause analysis, and engineering evaluations
- Monitor progress and performance of the solutions that have been implemented
- Perform computer related functions such as engineering analysis, drawing, spreadsheets, database compilations, and programming
- Compile and write technical reports
- Collaborate and influence working relationship with all stakeholders
- Overnight travel inside and outside the service territory up to 40%
- Perform individual lifts and carry supplies up to 35 pounds

Am I right for this job? Here's the success profile:
- Must have a B.S. degree in Engineering
- Ability to obtain a Professional Engineer's License is preferred
- Utility operation and/or construction experience preferred
- Excellent computer skills and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communications skills and good to excellent technical writing skills preferred
- Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrate and maintain a good safety record
- Working knowledge of modeling software preferred
- First Aid/CPR Certification
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
