Job Description
One of the nation's largest and most dynamic nonprofit civil engineering associations is currently searching for a motivated association professional to provide planning and logistical support to our Geo-Institute (GI). Do you like providing top-notch customer service to volunteers? Do you like working with others who are passionate about their work? We are looking for the right person to join our team of professionals helping to advance the interests of geoengineers around the world.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing administrative, meeting planning, and on-site logistical support to the GI Board, Board level committees, technical committees, and the Geo-Congress, GI Elections and Awards
- Developing and disseminating agendas, minutes, and action items
- Setting up and maintaining paper management system, tracking paper submissions, and training reviewers for conference content
- Scheduling conference calls and routine planning meetings
- Posting, tabulating, and reporting of electronic ballot measures
- Tracking and reporting on award schedules and deadlines
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent broad knowledge in a specialized field
- 1-2 years of experience (preferably in an association)
- Demonstrated success using database software and/or a paper management system
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced MS Office Skills
