Job Purpose

Manage the operation of UOTP IT/CS Program, coordinate all academic activities within the IT/CS Division, perform and manage a variety of duties involving advising students and managing faculty of the Program. Evaluate and appoint new faculty, manage academic schedules, registration, and IT/CS Program development and planning.

Education and experience required including training, registration, and licensure

· Doctorate degree in a discipline commensurate with IT/CS Programs.

· Minimum of three years of experience in an academic administrator role and/or in IT/CS administration related field experience.

· Experience supervising doctorate and dissertation studies preferred.

· Flexibility and a team-oriented work ethic.

Description

1.

Manage, develop, and ensure the quality of the academic programs and curriculum of the Information Technology and Computer Sciences Programs within the guidelines of accreditation agencies

2.

Supervise the IT/CS Programs faculty and ensure the quality of instruction to IT/CS programs students: online and hybrid

3.

Direct and supervise the work and priorities of the adjunct faculty

4.

Recommend and develop academic curriculum and programs (degree, certificate, and special short term programs) within the IT/CS field, as aligned with the vision and mission of UOTP

5.

Successfully plan and ensure effective delivery of IT/CS on-campus and on-line courses

6.

Work with the Academic Deans, HR Department to recruit and hire qualified instructors that are aligned to courses descriptions and program requirements, as aligned with the requirements of regulatory agencies

7.

Mentor, advise students on developing program plans and career opportunities, supervising internships, etc.

8.

Work collaboratively with other Executives, Chairs, Dean of Academics, staff, and UOTP management to streamline academic programs and find efficiencies between programs

9.

Conduct classroom observations and evaluate faculty's instructional performance and teaching qualities

9.

Bearing SAP assessment of Undergraduate and Graduate students within the IT/CS Programs

10.

Work with the Campus Directors and Business Development unit to create strategic marketing plans that will enhance the IT/CS Programs visibility within UOTP, local and regional community and internationally

11.

Establish relationship with key business and industry partners to keep IT/CS academic programs relevant to the needs and changing dynamics of the job market

12.

Provide instructions on IT/CS program courses as necessary

13.

Perform other tasks as requested by the Dean of Academics
