What you'll be doing:

Provide supervision and direction to Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance risk control field staff and assigned home office staff. Supervisor responsibilities to include hiring, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and workforce planning. Provide leadership and direction for assigned projects. Assign service requests from Underwriting and Sales and ensure employees have adequate workloads. Conduct quality audits and discuss results and review performance at customer visits. Coach and mentor to enhance knowledge and growth of staff. Lead in the development of relationships with customers and corporate functions. Build relationships with internal and external partners.

On any given day, you'll:

* Oversight of day-to-day activities for P&C insurance risk control field staff and assigned home office staff.

* Assign service visits and monitor workloads and productivity and provide guidance to attain quantity metrics.
* Responsible for the attainment of quality metrics. Conduct quality audits and provide results/discussions.

* Review staff performance at customer visits, providing guidance on accuracy, consulting, and relationship building.
* Development of new forms, maintenance, and reporting in the risk control workflow and reporting system for specialist and management reports.
* Accompany field staff, at least annually, to provide feedback during/after a specialist visit or presentation
* Develop relationships and collaborate with Center of Excellence (COE) leadership to ensure that the specialist is supporting the COE as expected.
* Work within risk control systems and train staff on those systems.
* Provide management reports routinely and on request.
* Manage the human resources function for all reports.

* Provide coaching and mentoring on a regular basis to enhance knowledge and growth.

* Responsible for hiring, corrective action, onboarding, reviews, and personnel actions.
* Provide leadership for changes, make suggestions, and serve/lead on projects. Complete all projects on time and on budget.
* Share on-call responsibility for risk control program monitoring with other risk control staff.

Here's what we expect

* Bachelor's degree is required; significant industry experience with a high school diploma may be considered in place of a bachelor's degree.

* Five years' experience in a P&C risk control function is required.

* Risk control background dealing with property is required.

* Experience with the markets (COE's) served by Church Mutual Insurance Company, S.I. is preferred.

* Insurance designations such as ARM, CSP, CPCU, or other is a plus.
* Demonstrated ability to provide leadership is required. Formal supervisor experience will be a plus.
* Ability to effectively communicate, including technical knowledge in both written and verbal formats.
* Ability to problem solve and negotiate to solutions.
* Knowledge of risk control techniques and ability to research solutions.

Exact compensation will vary based on consideration of a variety of factors including education, skills, experience, and location.

Maximum Compensation
USD $153,200.00/Yr.
