THE POSITION

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) has an exciting vacancy for a Maintenance Repairman 2 within the division of Facilities Infrastructure and Maintenance Repair. This position performs skilled work in a variety of trades in order to prepare, repair, and maintain an assigned region. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will perform such duties as constructing and installing metal pins, shelving, gondolas, turnstiles, and customer control railing and display units. You will fabricate, install, and maintain elevated offices, center tables, steps, counters, partitions, walls, platforms, cabinets, supply shelves, worktables, desktops, change drawers, signs (interior and exterior), and all necessary finish trim work. Your work will involve operating a variety of construction and maintenance tools and equipment in order to complete assigned tasks.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment

  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

  • Salary: The starting salary for this position for new Commonwealth employees is fixed at the minimum salary listed above and is not negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1; or

  • Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades; or

  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Necessary Special Requirement:

  • You must possess a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
