Job Description
Hay Creek Hotels is actively searching for professional, friendly, and fast-paced Bartenders to join our opening Food and Beverage team of hospitality professionals at the new Embers Hotel.

Tucked in the quaint mountain town of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, The Embers Hotel will offer 36 guest rooms and suites with full-service restaurant and al fresco dining patio. Managed by Hay Creek Hotels, this new-build boutique location will embody a fireside retreat with 4-star service in an approachable, natural setting. The new resort is projected to open in early spring 2024.

Full-time and part-time positions available with daytime, evening, weekday and weekend shifts.

$15 - $22 per hour

Job Summary:

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Greet, direct, seat, and serve guests in accordance with company service standards.
• Be knowledgeable about all beverage options offered, regularly making recommendations to guests.
• Craft, mix, and pour all beverage items in accordance to Food and Beverage standards.
• Be thoroughly familiar with menu items, promotions offered, hotel offerings, and related materials.
• Complete designated side work efficiently and thoroughly. Clean and maintain all working areas and equipment.
• Reconciliation cash, accurately charge credit cards, and make appropriate cash deposits at end of shift. Complete all transactions using the Point of Sale system.
• Maintain a clean and organized work place.

Experience and Skills

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Must feel comfortable with the use of technology - Aloha pint of sale, and Open Table reservations system.
• 1 year bartending experience in a high volume full service restaurant
• Prior Wine/Beer/Liquor knowledge with an interest in beverage/mixology
• Alcohol training certificate a plus, will train all employees on proper liquor service.
• Ability to work in a constructive, team working environment with a positive, upbeat and customer-focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days.
