JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for serving food and drinks to guests in an efficient and friendly manner, ensuring guest satisfaction and generating return business. This position will also be responsible for maintaining pour costs, inventory products, cleanliness of the work area, cashing handling, customer service, and responsible for alcohol service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promote exemplary guest service standards through prompt, efficient, and friendly service.
  2. Greets and acknowledge guests entering the restaurant and/or seated in the assigned service area.
  3. Efficiently takes drink orders and enters them into the POS system and handles payment methods appropriately
  4. Prepares food and drink orders and promptly delivers orders to guests.
  5. Provide attentive service throughout guest meals graciously serving, and refilling beverages and condiments.
  6. Must be able to mix ingredients and prepare cocktails and other drinks as requested.
  7. Responsible for pouring and mixing alcoholic beverages and/or non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and procedures.
  8. Maintains a neat and clean station on a continual basis.
  9. Ensures that alcoholic beverages are being served in a responsible manner.
  10. Maintain the area for cleanliness by promptly removing dishes, wiping off chairs, table and resetting the table in a quick and timely manner.
  11. Report any health standards or safety needs immediately to Supervisor
  12. Keep the Supervisor apprised of operational concerns including recipes, inventory, and supply needs.
  13. Maintain daily pour cost, inventory, and cleanliness of the work area.
  14. Stock beer, wine, liquor, ice, mixers, and dry goods.
  15. Washes and stocks glassware and utensils.
  16. Adhere to company policies, regulatory laws, codes, and department procedures.
  17. Promote internal guest service standards with courteous and respectful behavior with co-workers.
  18. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Six (6) months of alcohol or Food service experience.
  2. Effective communication-good auditory acuity, able to respond to questions and provide Information.
  3. Demonstrate interpersonal skills and abilities that promote positive guest services.
  4. Physically able to: stand or walk for long periods of time; perform routine bending and lifting of product up to 20lbs.; perform repetitive motions of arms, hands, wrists, and fingers; and occasionally lift and maneuver up to 50lbs.
  5. Exhibits a professional demeanor through appearance and by maintaining a positive attitude toward all employees and guests.
  6. Must possess or obtain a food handler's certificate and an OLCC certificate within 30 days of employment.
  7. Requires a criminal history background check.
  8. Must be at least 21 years old.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Cocktail serving or bartending experience within the past two years.
