The role will be responsible for administering the safety and environmental functions at one of our newest and growing sites. This position manages the safety and environmental programs and procedures to ensure the facility is operating to standard while ensuring compliance with company, federal, state and local laws and regulations, with a heavy emphasis on hourly team member driven participation and ownership of the process.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated EHS Manager to join our fast-paced and innovative engineering team. This is a permanent position that is responsible for managing and implementing the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program. The EHS Manager will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
3. Lead incident analysis and investigations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
4. Manage and facilitate the ANSI Z10 safety management system.
5. Oversee site safety training programs, ensuring employees are trained on necessary safety procedures and policies.
6. Develop and maintain safety metrics, providing regular reports to management on EHS performance.
7. Collaborate with various departments to integrate EHS considerations into business decisions.
8. Ensure safety protocols are maintained in the food manufacturing process.
9. Serve as the company's Radiation Safety Officer (RSO), maintaining RSO certification and overseeing all radiation safety activities.
10. Foster a safety culture throughout the organization, promoting safety awareness and responsibility among all employees.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Engineering, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in an EHS role within the engineering or manufacturing industry.
3. Certified as a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) or ability to obtain certification.
4. Proven experience with incident analysis and risk assessments.
5. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including ANSI Z10.
6. Experience in the food manufacturing industry, specifically with safety protocols.
7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey safety information to a diverse workforce.
8. Bi-lingual abilities are strongly preferred.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate safety risks.
10. Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage employees at all levels of the organization.
