Supply Chain Security Specialist & Trade Auditor

JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Global Trade Compliance Director, Primary role is to ensure compliance with policies and procedures for supply chain security and trade as related to imports and exports worldwide. Role is to function as support point of contact for Customs and Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT) and CTPAT profiles and will communicate directly with the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Supply Chain Security Specialists (SCSS). Responsible primarily for Supply Chain Security audits and also contributing on Trade Compliance audits mainly for locations in the US, Mexico, and Canada. Also responsible for documentation required by CTPAT, supply chain security training materials and standardized formats are a corporate level. Direct liaison and support for OEA (Mexico's Authorized Economic Operator program).

Major responsibilities include:

• Conduct recurrent audits pertaining to Supply Chain Security, not restricted to but including CTPAT audits
• OEA MX Support
• Work collaboration with audited locations for actionable items resulting from audits
• Procedure and policy ownership
• Providing training where and when required
• Collaboration with multi-functional teams
• Develop and maintain risk assessment protocols to determine focus areas
• Develop and conduct internal supply chain security training
• Work with supply chain partners to ensure continuous supply chain security
• Work with facilities to continuously improve supply chain security procedures and to ensure facility readiness for SCS audits
• Keep informed of supply chain security opportunities and innovations
• Represent Regal in interactions with CBP CTPAT team
• Work with Manager to lead facilities through CTPAT and OEA validation visits
• Travel to locations required to conduct audits and assessments
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Required Education / Experience / Skills:

The Trade Compliance Analyst must possess the following:

• 2+ years Background and knowledge of supply chain security practices and certification requirements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish required
• Utilizing personal skills, outside counsel and corporate audit process to assess risks and develop new policies and procedures
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Knowledge of MS Office products
• Must be flexible to travel

Desired Qualifications:

The following would enhance the performance of the Trade Auditor

• AA or BS/BA degree in International Trade, Logistics or similar area of study, preferred.
• Trade Compliance experience in Harmonized Tariff Classification, U.S. Customs Regulations, Section / Chapter Notes, explanatory notes, CROSS rulings and Certificates of Origin
