CNC Machine Shop Manager - Full-time with potential for overtime

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Shop Manager to lead the CNC Machining team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production shop, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to strict precision standards. The successful candidate will not only manage the team but also bring a strong background in mill operations.

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a team of CNC Machinists, providing guidance and support.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and commitment to precision.

Production Oversight

• Oversee the setup and operation of CNC mills to meet production goals.
• Ensure the timely and accurate production of high-precision parts according to specifications.

Process Optimization:

• Collaborate with CNC Machinists to optimize machining processes for increased efficiency and productivity.
• Implement and drive continuous improvement initiatives in the production workflow.

Quality Assurance:

• Enforce and maintain stringent quality standards, conducting regular inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to address and resolve any quality concerns.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Work closely with maintenance personnel to ensure CNC machinery is properly maintained, minimizing downtime.
• Troubleshoot and address any equipment issues promptly.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• 7+ Years proven experience in CNC machining, with a strong background in mill operations.
• 7+ Years leadership or managerial experience in a production environment.
• In-depth knowledge of machining techniques, tooling, and materials.
• Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot CNC machinery.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
