Position Title: Grief Support Group Facilitator
Position Type: Per Diem
Benefits Eligible: No
Location: Toms River
Department: EMBRACE
Salary: $50 per group. Must commit to 8-12-week group cycle
Requirements
- Must provide proof of bereavement/loss/grief certification or training completed or in progress OR have at least one year’s experience providing bereavement/loss or grief related support groups
- Pass pre-training interview
- Be willing to participate in continuing education training opportunities
- Ability to work in a confidential environment
Responsibilities:
- Commit to at least 1 full group cycle between 8-12 weeks
- Participate in pre and post sessions planning
- Effectively communicate with the Program Coordinator the format for the group to be served and the groups progress/attendance
- Foster play, storytelling, art and other behavior-centered coping mechanisms according to the group’s developmental abilities and program protocol
- Report any unhealth or abnormal grief reaction that may need professional intervention to program clinical team and Program Coordinator
- Assist in clean up after each group
