Maintenance Person

GLORY HOUSE JOB DESCRIPTION EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

The following is required: High school diploma/GED. SKILLS: Fluent in English language written and verbal. Knowledge of building and vehicle maintenance.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday daytime hours; weekends, evenings and holidays, as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

1. Oversees chemical inventory, chemical supply, ordering of needed supplies, and compliance with SDS; refer to policy and procedures for further details.
2. Responsible for tool and machinery inventory; refer to policy and procedures for further details.
3. Responsible for vehicle maintenance, arrange vehicle repairs, and scheduled safety checks; refer to policy and procedures for further instructions.
4. Responsible for routine and unexpected facility repairs as well as communicating and seeking approval with Executive Director, or designee, the need for specialized services; refer to policy and procedures for further details.
5. Responsible for safety checks for fire, flood, and other potential disasters.
6. Responsible to appropriately secure all hazardous chemicals. Responsible for scheduled tidiness checks in all facilities. Responsible for changing of furnace filters and water temperatures. Maintains safety documentation for facility. Responsible for client orientation of machinery before allowed to operate. Ability to lift and move up to fifty pounds. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Attend required trainings.

NON ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Assist in moving agency property as directed.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have a valid driver's license.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
