Service Technician

Falcon Heating & Air Conditioning has been in business for more than 35 years, specializing in heating and air conditioning, from the designing in new construction to installation and repairs. Our business is constantly growing, and we are looking for someone with field experience to fill our Service Technician position within the Northern Virginia area in our Warranty New Construction division. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Refer to duct layouts to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair existing equipment
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify and address system problems
• Travel to homes as scheduled in their appointment slot
  
• Determine customer needs and discuss all solution methods
• Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness per manufacturer
• Conduct performance tests with specialized tools
• Troubleshoot current HVAC system issues and repair as needed
  
• Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources
• Follow company and industry safety guidelines and regulations
• Clean work area, machines, tools and supplies
  
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• You do not sell any equipment or have to worry about sales quotas!

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Thorough understanding of the installation, maintenance, and repair of various refrigeration systems
• Fully understand electrical, mechanical, and control systems
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong ability to remain organized and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work well with other technicians and tradesman
• Must be able to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings

Required Education and Experience

• 4 yrs. of experience in HVAC
• Valid CFC Card within the first 30 days of employment
• Fully understands and has mastered the fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and control in air conditioning units
• Ability to work an on-call rotation that includes evenings (up to 9 pm) and weekends
• Valid driving license
• Good driving record
