Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Construction Supervisor is the leader of their assigned project(s) and field inspection team. The Construction Supervisor has the responsibility for assisting the Construction Manager in managing the route design, materials and shipment, monitoring and managing the project budget, scheduling and meeting project timelines, handling customer expectations, managing the project team, and interfacing with jurisdictions and customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Review and fully understand the scope of your assigned projects, review and understand permits, contracts and agreements, and the requirements of each project.
  • Create and assist in executing project work plans, schedules, controlling project budgets through field work production reports and invoicing as well as identifying and acquiring additional resources needed.
  • Assign duties and manage Fiber Field Inspectors assigned for your projects.
  • Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project to ensure quality installations are being performed as well as on-time schedule performance and under budget project completion.
  • Meet with internal managers with prepared reports with progress updates, answer questions, and manage requested changes to project plans.
  • Manage the scope and delivery of the project including serving as a technical expert in interpreting the specifications of the project.
  • Communicate requirements and specifications to the project staff and assist with any questions related to the technology, equipment, and design requirements.
  • Serve as the project spokesperson, when necessary, by developing relationships and facilitating communication, updates, and meetings with internal coworkers and external customers.
  • Ensure agreements, contracts, permits, and authorization of compliance are in place and project acceptable.
  • Maintain day-to-day communication with the Field Inspectors, other departments and other company management teams.
  • Produce quality results in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
  • Represent Viaero professionally to satisfy immediate customer needs and to foster return business.
  • Respond clearly and effectively to spoken requests over the phone or in person, and to verbal or written instructions.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and the general public.
  • Maintain regular, consistent, professional attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance according to company policies.
  • Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role and those of the project team.
  • Adhere to company policies, regulations, procedures, and principles.

What you will need for this Position:

  • 3 + years in construction management, electrical engineering, or civil engineering required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of Telecommunications construction and engineering, project budget creation and management, project scheduling and tracking, project finance, cost reporting, and field office operations
  • Solid business acumen and experience in managing large telecom construction projects
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Solid experience using MS Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel as needed to manage field operations, which can include overnight stays throughout the network
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment processes, including criminal background, motor vehicle record and substance screen
