Team Velocity is seeking a skilled and motivated Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will play a crucial role in supporting employees and the management team in various HR functions. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing the daily functions including recruiting, interviewing, administering pay, employee relations, onboarding, training and development, performance management, enforcing the company's policies and practices, and other HR-related activities.

Major Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.
  • Source, screen, and interview potential candidates.
  • Provide general administrative support.
  • Conduct reference checks and background investigations.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations throughout the recruitment process.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on various HR matters.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Support the performance management process.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintain HR records, including employee data, attendance, and leave management.
  • Assist with HR projects and initiatives as assigned.


Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of HR Generalist Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Solid knowledge of HR policies, procedures, employment laws, and best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships and handle employee concerns.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
