The Housekeeping Supervisor plays a crucial role in the facilities commitment to maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the housekeeping/laundry team, ensuring that all areas of the facility are consistently cleaned and maintained in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies. This role requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance are maintained.

  • Housekeeping Supervisor will lead, train, and supervise housekeeping/laundry staff, ensuring they adhere to established protocols and procedures
  • Housekeeping Supervisor will conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and other facility spaces to ensure cleanliness standards are met
  • Housekeeping Supervisor will schedule and assign daily tasks to housekeeping/laundry team members, taking into account the facility's cleaning priorities
  • Keep track of Par level/the minimum amount of stock that should be kept on hand to meet Resident demand and maintain minimum inventory for housekeeping/laundry stock to avoid shortages
  • Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring an adequate supply is maintained at all times including coordinating purchasing/ordering of necessary supplies
  • Address and rectify any deficiencies or issues identified during inspections
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to environmental services and infection control
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and promote a secure working environment
  • Provide ongoing training to housekeeping staff on proper cleaning techniques, infection control practices, and the use of cleaning equipment as needed
  • Collaborate with other departments to address housekeeping-related issues and coordinate cleaning schedules that minimize disruption to residents and staff
  • Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families regarding housekeeping procedures and expectations
  • Maintain accurate records of cleaning schedules, inspections, and any incidents related to housekeeping/laundry

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in environmental services, hospitality, or related field is a plus
  • Experience in housekeeping, laundry, or environmental services, experience within healthcare setting highly preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferred
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve facility goals
  • Familiarity with OSHA and other regulatory requirements related to environmental services in healthcare settings
