A little about the job....

  • Assume responsibility for Employee Health and Workers’ Compensation Programs, along with planning and providing new employee health assessments and follow-up care to employees with on-the-job injuries or illnesses.
  • Assists in developing employee health education programs, policies and procedures and maintains employee health files.

Qualifications for the job...

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing or meet Alabama Board of Nursing requirements to be "waived".
  • Must possess current license as Practical Nurse from State of Alabama.
  • Evidence of independent judgment and ability to work without close supervision.
  • Previous experience as an Employee Health Nurse desired but not required.
