Position Summary

N Street Village is looking for a Director of People Operations (formerly Director of Human Resources), to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for leading, coaching, and overseeing the entire people team. This role ensures all policies and processes focus on supporting and improving the employee experience across the entire lifecycle. The Director will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the department, touching upon multiple disciplines such as HR, Communications, Compliance, and Business Operations. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of HR experience and a desire and proven ability to be a change agent.

  • Chief Operating Officer

In Collaboration with COO:

  • Creating a strong data strategy with results-driven key performance indicators (KPI)
  • Establishing a solutions-focused employee engagement committee
  • DEI-focused culture, processes, and strategies
  • Conducting the review and formulating the compensation strategy for the organization
  • Strategy for an HR technology structure that produces an efficient and results-driven recruitment and onboarding process

Job Duties:

  • Develops and maintains a strong and scalable department that is organizationally people-focused
  • Leading and developing a team of 3-5 employees to successful departmental and organizational outcomes
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues
  • Day-to-day administration of human resources functions, record keeping, and special projects
  • Ensuring the timely reporting, and service delivery to meet and/or exceed established KPIs
  • Full ownership of all aspects of HR Value Chain, and employee life cycle
  • Using data and information from effective feedback back loop identified as part of employee life cycle milestones to inform and direct strategy in areas of recruitment, onboarding, engagement, development, benefits, and offboarding
  • Oversee, and fully accountable for, the process of creating, posting/marketing, and storage of job descriptions for all roles, candidate pipelines, and hiring metrics
  • Leader in finding solutions, driving action, improving efficiency, and seeking out opportunities to collaborate with your team, employees, organizational leaders, partners, key stakeholders, and community organizations
  • Be the face of the People Focused human resource department, conducting all presentations and/or training on strategic initiatives, new software implementation, and engagement presented to the organization and/or stakeholders
  • Provide information and counseling to employees, including new employee orientation, benefits counseling, drug/alcohol/covid testing, sexual harassment policies, assists in handling grievance issues
  • Implement a yearly review process that ensures completion prior to year-end
  • Administrator of 403b and organizational benefits
  • Performs related duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, 3-5 years of experience in HR, Talent Relations/Management
  • Certified as SPHR with additional certifications as IPMA-CP or SHRM-CP strongly encouraged
  • Excellent communicator, both digitally and verbally
  • Excellent collaborator and consensus builder
  • Demonstrated ability to be a servant leader who can motivate, and lead high-performing teams to positive outcomes
  • Proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, and Microsoft Office suite
  • Effective project manager, able to manage multiple projects at the same time to completion
  • A problem solver, able to identify the accuracy and relevance of information and generate recommendations and solutions
  • Strong analytical skills, able to present information in a quantitative and qualitative manner. Track record of making data-driven decisions from strategically created KPIs and reporting to an executive audience
  • Thought leader and subject matter expert with a people-first approach and track record of meeting and/or exceeding strategic goals
  • Thorough knowledge of current hiring markets and ability to proactively strategize initiatives that are ahead of market changes
  • Advanced level of understanding of Federal and State employment and labor laws and data/record retention
  • Ability to connect organizational goals to operational solutions
  • Having a growth mindset, extremely proactive, and experienced in creating strategic solutions for complex problems and ever-changing employee job markets
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop others using an empathetic and emotionally intelligent perspective

Salary:

  • $100,000 - $110,000/yearly
