Objective:
- The primary objective of the OEM Delivery Driver position is to complete on time deliveries of Vendor Managed Inventory to local clients.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand Vermeer delivery layout
- Understand all methods of delivery
- Work with production on any changes or needed parts
- Obtain proof of delivery
- Safely drive and stock critical product at our customer’s facility while creating positive relationships with customers
- Operate a forklift or pallet jack as needed
- Drive continuous improvement in storage and delivery methods
- Perform pre-departure safety inspection on delivery van
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
- Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience
- Previous experience Driving in a professional setting
- Clean NVR
- Ability to drive 24 foot box truck
- Valid driver’s license required
- Clean driving record
- Previous Hydraulics experience preferred
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing environment preferred
- Forklift certification preferred
- Skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong work ethic with a true sense of urgency
Safety Responsibilities:
- Follow Safety standards and comply with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimize space utilization
- Participate in the Total Continuous Improvement program
- Attend all employee Safety Meetings
- Use prescribed Personal Protective Equipment
- Observe restricted areas and all warning signs
