As a Blackbird Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will:

  • Efficiently and accurately provide patient psychiatric evaluations, assessments, diagnosis, and medication management to children, adolescents, and young adults under the direction of the VP, Clinical Services.
  • Determine and create appropriate treatment plans, provide patient education and consultation for new and existing Blackbird patients
  • Comply with minimum clinical time expectations per week after onboarding and acclimation to the role
  • Because we must work within a child’s school schedule, we incentivize our clinicians to provide availability during Blackbird's core after-school hours
  • Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests, including digital and lab results
  • Attend and participate in weekly team and supervisor clinical meetings
  • Partner with administrative team to handle refills, prior authorizations, records, and rescheduling
  • Communicate and engage with other healthcare professionals and families when appropriate
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress and maintain thorough patient records

ABOUT YOU

Qualifications

  • Active CRNP/APN license in the state of employment
  • Master’s Degree from an accredited nursing program
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working independently in the role of a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner is required.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience working with children, adolescents or young adults under any nursing license is required.
  • Board Certification by ANCC or AANP
  • PMHNP-BC certification
  • DEA license to prescribe
  • State Prescriptive Authority License
  • Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment

*The target range for this position is $125,000 - $140,000. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors, including licensure, experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
