POSITION SUMMARY

The Community Experience Associate is responsible for leasing apartments and maintaining a high level of occupancy while providing excellent customer service to residents and prospective residents. The Community Experience Associate role is essential to the success of the community’s occupancy and resident retention.

REPORTS TO: Community Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Meet with prospective residents to determine their housing needs, show them the model apartment or available vacant units.
  • Obtain prospective resident’s information and continue follow-up procedures.
  • Familiar with the leasing process from application to lease signing, and all other pertinent information to ensure that the lease is executed correctly.
  • Understands and complies with Fair Housing Laws and all company rules and regulations.
  • Maintains an accurate knowledge of all aspects of the community.
  • Conduct background checks on applicants including credit checks, criminal background checks, income verification and rental verification.
  • Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy.
  • Assist residents with service requests. Enter service requests into the property software.
  • Collects rental payments and all other fees.
  • Conducts follow-up with residents when necessary to ensure overall customer satisfaction.
  • Assist with move-in/move-out process.
  • Manage lease renewal process.
  • Responds to all calls, emails, and site visits in a timely manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Leasing or customer service experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required.
  • Experience with Entrata Software preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to interact in a positive manner with the residents and community.
