Production Assembler 3

Position Summary/Objective

The Production Assembler follows outlined procedures and specifications in assembling AstroNova products.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Read and understand manufacturing work orders, follow procedures, documents and verbal instructions
• Mechanical assembly of parts using basic hand tools
• Route wires and connectors between individual component locations
• Completes required paperwork, as required, and in a timely manner
• Assist other team members as necessary

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Required Education and Experience

• Ability to read/understand work instructions and assembly drawings (blueprints)
• Strong multitasking ability
• Knowledge of basic mechanics and assembly
• Candidate must be punctual, quality conscious, and motivated
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Basic knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with the use of common assembly hand tools (screw drivers, wrenches, cutters)

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
