Job Description

Role Overview

This position is responsible to provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screens, refers and diagnoses internal inquiries and helpdesk tickets as they relate to the maintenance of company computers and related systems.
  • Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.
  • Provide troubleshooting and support.
  • Prioritize and escalate issues properly to ensure that work orders are addressed and resolved in accordance with our service level objective.
  • Stay current with new technology and changes and updates to the current IT systems and applications
  • Responsible to perform IT inventory management.
  • Troubleshoot desktop issues such as printer connectivity, blue screens, and peripheral functionality. Troubleshoot remote device connectivity.
  • Install hardware and software upgrades, manage user accounts, maintain backup system, and assist with network and server changes and upgrades.
  • Teach end users how to connect to applications and train them on basic application usage such as Outlook, Excel or Word. Assist new hires with logging in and obtaining appropriate access.
  • Responsible to provide phone and network support to end users.
  • Responsible to handle Emergency On Call Phone for designated times.
  • Proven ability to work in both a team environment and independently.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2-3 years of desktop support experience or equivalent experience
  • Successful candidate must have proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio (or similar tool)
  • Possess excellent analytical and critical thinking
  • CompTIA A+ or Network+ certification, or CCNA preferred
  • Executive support experience preferred

Work Requirements:

  • Position is considered sedentary and requires extended periods of PC exposure.
  • Candidate must be able to lift 50lbs.
