Qualities We're Seeking:

  • Proven experience in safety management, preferably in an industrial or field environment. 
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities. 
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety excellence.
  • Positive and organized approach and ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

Safety Policy and Procedure Oversight

  • Develop, review, update, and communicate company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that safety policies and procedures are consistently implemented and followed by all employees.
  • Attend a minimum of two crew changes weekly.
  • Support/advise HSE training compliance.

Site Inspections and Hazard Identification

  • Conduct regular facility and job site inspections to identify potential safety hazards.
  • Collaborate with site personnel to address and mitigate identified hazards promptly.
  • Weekly on-site visits to each facility within assigned region, including tailgate safety meeting at each visit.

Safety Coaching

  • Provide coaching and guidance to facility and job site personnel to maintain a culture of safety excellence.
  • Offer training sessions and workshops on safety best practices.
  • Regular audits of field personnel activities.
  • Shadow operations personnel and conduct a minimum of one JSA weekly at each facility within assigned region.

Incident Investigation and Corrective Action

  • Assist and/or lead incident investigations to determine root causes and contributing factors.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
  • Travel to location of incidents as needed.
  • Complete special assignments directed by HSEQ Manager and/or Management.

Regulatory Compliance

  • Stay informed about all applicable regulatory requirements related to safety.
  • Ensure that the company's safety practices and procedures align with current regulations.
  • Collaborate with Operations team to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as SME for all HSEQ related questions within assigned region.

Reporting

  • Prepare and maintain accurate safety records and reports.
  • Communicate safety performance metrics to management regularly.
  • All incidents reported within KPA in a timely manner.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in health and workplace safety, occupational safety, or related field. 

Travel Requirements: 

  • 80% Out of town travel required

Other: 

  • Must possess valid driver’s license and have, as well as maintain, a clear driving record. 
  • Submit to and pass alcohol and drug tests including but not limited to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident/incident testing.
