We're adding two (2) association management professionals with knowledge of building product and manufacturing issues, as well as familiarity with codes/technical standards to our Buildings & Materials group. These positions will serve as leadership to multiple association clients.

Position Summary

The Senior Account Executive, Association Management plays a pivotal role in advancing Kellen Best Practices and takes on an elevated level of responsibility by closely collaborating with Senior Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and fellow Account Executives. Operating at a senior level, they oversee and lead the day-to-day operations for multiple association clients, demonstrating a mastery of strategic planning, operational efficiency, and holistic management of client operations. Building upon the foundational responsibilities of an Account Executive, they contribute significantly to the growth, success, and strategic positioning of our association clients.

Essential Functions

Board Management and Strategy 

  • Provides seasoned leadership to the Board of Directors and committees, actively participating in meetings, and contributing to strategic discussions. 
  • Collaborates with the Board President and/or external consultants to facilitate strategic planning and oversees its execution, maintaining regular communication with the Board.
  • Aids Board President in identifying Officers, committee chairs, and other leaders and representatives with skills and experience that aligned with the current and future needs of the organization and assists with on-boarding. 
  • Continuously identifies and communicates to Board specific opportunities for organization to expand its influence and/or market. 


Member Programs and Services 

  • Implements advanced programs and campaigns to attract new members and/or subscribers, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of evolving member needs. 
  • Identifies, develops, and oversees the implementation of innovative programs and benefits to enhance the member experience. 
  • Leads the development and maintenance of membership standards, ensuring they align with industry best practices.
  • Cultivates and maintains strategic partnerships with industry organizations to increase awareness and grow membership. 

Conference and Meeting Management 

  • Collaborates with Board and Meetings Manager to develop strategy for meeting and conference events, optimizing support for organizational offerings. 
  • Oversees the development of detailed project plans, ensuring seamless implementation through a team of event coordinators, marketing professionals, speakers, technical support vendors, and local officials.
  • Exercise strategic planning and establish contingency plans for all aspects of potential failure.
  • Effectively plan and control event budgets, demonstrating financial acumen.

Fundraising, Marketing and Outreach 

  • Oversees the advanced development and distribution of association publications, including advertising sales.
  • Leads association partnerships and coordinates complex marketing deliverables.
  • Supports grant-writing efforts of the association, as needed.
