e-Commerce Shipper

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for the production of all shipping processes associated with E-Commerce daily activity and sales.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for preparation and production of all shipments
• Responsible for meeting and/or exceeding daily production goals
• Ensuring shipping procedures are properly followed
• Answer customer’s inquiries in a timely manner.
• Effectively manage inventory – order supplies as needed.
• Ensure most efficient and cost effective shipping options are utilized.
• Prepare daily/weekly reports.
• Prepare shipping labels using shipping software, package and ship sold items.
• Clean, straighten and organize listed-merchandise shelves.
• Maintain a clean and orderly processing area.
• Follow all Loss Prevention guidelines and Safety/Security measures.
• Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 1 year experience in shipping, inventory control required

• Able to read, write, and speak English clearly and fluently
• Excellent computer and Internet skills, including rapid & accurate keyboarding; Proficient with Microsoft Office
• Ability to complete tasks and assignments with numerous interruptions and little direct supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the telephone
• Ability to understand verbal instructions
• Attention to detail and diligence to meet daily production goals

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lifting up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. May be required to regularly stand for extended periods of time, walk, reach with hands/arms with full range of motion, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, push or pull. Regularly required to talk and hear. Frequently required to use hands and fingers to hold, handle and feel objects, knobs, keys and/or buttons.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.
