The Senior Visa Consultant/Case Manager – Global is an integral part of the firm’s Global practice, working under the Global Practice Manager and Global Partner to implement global mobility processes during case production. The Senior Visa Consultant/Case Manager's time is spent in client interaction and interfacing with local advisors in various countries where the firm’s clients are located or traveling, as well as in strategic management of clients and contributions to the knowledge and development of more junior team members.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Case management
    • Under the supervision of attorneys and managers, manage clients’ immigration cases from initiation to conclusion including establishing case strategy
    • Oversee the work of local advisors to ensure that all necessary steps are being taken during the course of each case
    • Independently lead all client calls other than escalation or legal compliance calls
    • Maintain accurate records and update internal databases in a timely and consistent manner
    • Adhere to current WR and client-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
    • Promptly alert attorneys and managers of any case escalations so that they may be addressed
  • Client management
    • Proactively develop and manage clients’ global mobility programs to ensure that clients are provided with strategic advice and tools to ensure the smooth functioning of their programs, including not just active case processing but also expiry tracking, reporting, establishment of policies and programs and compliance initiatives. Work with management and IT on client development requests and proactively proposing solutions for continuous client program and service improvement.
    • Lead client onboarding, including configuring standard and custom reports for clients
    • Prepare and deliver client presentations following attorney or manager review
  • Knowledge sharing + management
    • Learn and implement WR-specific case workflows as developed by Global practice leadership, including utilizing WRapid and other necessary technology platforms daily
    • Develop an advanced understanding of the global mobility requirements for the countries in which the firm’s clients are traveling, including staying up to date on these requirements as they change
    • Utilize existing organizational tools and participate in the development of new tools and processes to facilitate management of a high volume of cases at any given time
    • Serve as a subject matter expert for 5 to 10 countries and assist in training junior team members on same and/or serving as a case mentor on same
    • Review all types of case-related drafts from more junior team members as assigned by manager or attorney

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with strong academic record
  • 5+ years of experience in global mobility or international immigration
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Clear and effective communication skills, especially in a professional email setting
