Overview
The (GPM) at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (SJCRH) is a growing department looking for professionals who are eager to help implement the mission of training the clinical workforce, developing and strengthening health systems and patient-centered initiatives, and advancing knowledge to sustain continuous improvement through research.
Responsibilities
GPM/SJG is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to support implementation and project management on global pediatric palliative care for children. Some of these projects will focus on educational initiatives and capacity building. This key team member will act as a liaison with other members of GPM/SJG and global collaborators in Low and Middle-Income Countries (LMIC), and thus will need to communicate clearly and foster trusting relationships with colleagues and partners. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and eager to help develop and grow these programs in support of the St. Jude Global Strategic vision, have a demonstrated interest in global health, and have project management experience and/or a background in education. This project coordinator be responsible for:
Assisting in development of educational curriculum for LMIC global partners structured around pediatric palliative care for children with cancer and other catastrophic illnesses.
Coordinating and implementing training opportunities (national, regional, global) including the St. Jude Global Academy Training Seminar in Pediatric Palliative Care, by working with internal St. Jude Global teams and LMIC global partners to ensure all aspects of meeting organization are addressed.
Coordinating the clinical training opportunities at St. Jude and LMIC global partners including clinical observerships and formal clinical fellowships.
Communicating project plans and incorporating appropriate feedback from all relevant stakeholders
Assisting with analyses of projects and implementation needs
Developing and implementing standardized tools, frameworks, and metrics to ensure execution of different projects.
Designing compelling reports, briefs, and messaging specifically tailored for needs in partnership with diverse collaborators.
Facilitating communication and implementation of initiatives with LMIC global collaborators including forging new relationships with multidisciplinary health professionals as well as diverse members of global communities.
Ensuring alignment across SJCRH, GPM, and St. Jude Global strategic plans and missions regarding education.
Will work closely with St. Jude Global Professional Education in the development, execution, and management of various global palliative care educational endeavors.
Skills and Abilities
Strong communication and relationship management abilities
Excellent organization skills and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Flexibility to adapt to and manage multiple priorities and projects independently
Experience utilizing digital project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project or similar)
Experience utilizing qualitative analysis software (e.g. MAXQDA) is preferred
Experience with mixed-methods or community-based research
Demonstrated problem solving skills, able to analyze and synthesize new information quickly
Familiarity with general medical/health services terminology
Experience with quality improvement and/or implementation science
Strong analytic skills
Experience in international and health care settings
Close attention to detail
Desire to innovate and experience taking initiative
Flexibility in schedule to accommodate meetings across different time zones and international travel
Ability to anticipate and resolve problems
Cultural sensitivity is a must

Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in public health, health communication, business, education, or related field required.
Minimum Experience
Three (3) years of experience in program management and delivery.
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Outlook Calendar tools, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required
Fluency in a second language preferred
Experience working in international settings required
Knowledge of project management methodologies required
Supervisory and/or team coordination experience required
Clinical and/or healthcare background is preferred
Clinical research and/or implementation science experience is a plus
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
