Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out administrative duties such as but not limited to filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, mailing report cards and supplements to Home patient etc. to support all clinic roles.
  • Understands principles of customer service and consistently acts to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and dignity.
  • Greet patients, answering phones, communicate with the dialysis team accordingly.
  • Collaborate with internal and external entities to include but limited to the dialysis team, physician practices, renal network, transplant centers and vendors.
  • Compiles and maintains medical records of both the in-center and home patients in the dialysis facility according to company policies and procedures and in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements. Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
  • Coordinate all new admissions with the CM and Lead MSW; Assist in the admission of new patients and ensure chart forms included in the admission packet are signed and distributed as required. Scanning and verifying patient demographics.
  • Assists patients with transportation arrangements to include but not limited coordinating with local transportation companies and Medicaid transportation vouchers.
  • Assist as needed with preparation for QAPI; lab values, enter census data, tracking, modality information into QAPI monthly. Distribute and compile handouts and complete minute taking at meeting monthly.
  • Completes daily weekly, and month-end reporting reports.
  • Ensure all data (including but not limited to: new patient admission, patient transfers, patient deaths, modality changes) are entered and reported to required entities, including but not limited to: renal networks, CMS and corporate.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean working environment by reporting equipment that is out of order and other problems to management (including but not limited to: assisting to maintain the order and cleanliness of the Nurse’s Station and front desk by ensuring charts are in order, lobby area is maintained, etc.).
  • Maintain inventory of the necessary office / clinic forms and supplies.
  • Act as a liaison for employee and Human Resources.
  • Assist with the onboarding and processing of new employee paperwork following the New Hire Checklist which include but not limited to completion of I9 forms, ordering background checks, verifying licenses, certifications and or education as applicable, OIG check, and communicating with the new employee concerning drug screening.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of six months of relevant experience in a healthcare setting required.
  • Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Ability to organize with multiple interruptions/distractions
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a high degree of discretion.
  • Proficient computer skills - proficient in the use of Microsoft Office: spreadsheets, word documents, Power Point, and other computer related programs including but not limited to: Electronic Medical Records databases, payroll systems, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
