Princeton Tool, a Princeton Precision Group company is actively seeking an experienced and dedicated CNC Machinist-Programmer to join and grow in PPG organization. The CNC Machinist-Programmer will set up, program, and operate 3,4, and 5 axis mills, wire/sinker EDM's, waterjets, and carbide grinders according to specifications. This role will be responsible for performing precision machining processes on various types of metal including, but not limited to Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel. The ability to maintain tight tolerance thresholds is essential.
Requirements:- Program, set up, and operate CNC equipment to produce tight tolerance metal parts to specifications
- Assist with programming and setting up new equipment
- Support and advise on new process development
- Test accuracy of settings and programs
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine proper dimensions and tolerance levels
- Select the appropriate tools, materials, and machines for each job
- Adjust machine settings to desired product specs
- Monitor the machining process to ensure that all parts meet the required specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the machining process
- Work with other machinists to overcome challenges on the shop floor; including but not limited to: adjusting machine settings to achieve desired results, reviewing blue prints or models to confirm desired results, etc.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Other related duties as directed
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Formal technical training preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining and programming
- Minimum of 5 years of programming experience utilizing Mastercam and Siemens NX
- Strong knowledge of machining processes and techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Ability to work with and machine various metals including, but not limited to Titanium, Inconel, Aluminum, and Stainless Steel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to produce high-quality, tight tolerance parts and components
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compensation
- Up to $95,000 per year based on ability and experience
Compensation details: 75000-95000 Yearly Salary
