RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Azure Infrastructure Architect will drive the modernization of infrastructure services within Azure Cloud, and own Azure as a platform representing infrastructure. They deliver this through architecture and engineering of Azure-cloud based infrastructure solutions leveraging automation and modern deployment methodologies. These solutions will be consumed by product and application teams to meet business goals and objectives.

  • Build cloud foundational components encompassing network, security, identity, operations, and governance in the Azure cloud

  • Develop and document cloud best practices, guidelines, and cost management of cloud technologies

  • Operationalize solutions from proof-of-concept through production, using automation for repeatability, maintainability, and to enforce standards

  • Responsible for managing the resolution of major incidents and any escalated issues for the Azure and server environments

  • Responsible for the security, resilience and monitoring of our hosting environment

  • Represent the hosting technologies in Change Advisory Board meetings, review and planning meetings and architectural review

  • Responsible for fostering a practice of collaboration and continuous improvement within the team.

  • Collaborates with internal and/or external resources, providing technical expertise for the hosting environment

  • Conducts performance monitoring, capacity planning, workload modeling and predictive analyses to identify and resolve potential issues (e.g., performance, security breaches)

  • Assist in setting up the target environment from foundational blueprints (HLD/LLD designs & requirements)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid understanding of Azure architecture to design capable and secure environments within Azure

  • 10-15 years of IT experience, including at least 5 years of experience with architecture and design both on-premises and in the cloud

  • Excellent knowledge in the platform of Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS services and foundational components of compute, storage, networking, identity and access management, security, tenant/subscriptions and other foundational PaaS services used in any of the above elements

  • Scripting and automation experience;

    • Required: PowerShell, Azure ARM, AZ cli, Terraform

    • Advantageous: bash, shell, bicep

  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools

  • Microsoft Certified Azure Architect

  • Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management systems and protocols such as Okta, Azure Active Directory, Active Directory, SAML, OIDC WS-Fed, OAuth Kerberos, and LDAP

  • Experience in High Availability and Disaster recovery implementations

  • Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD

  • Excellent writing skills to develop and maintain policies and procedures. Creation of technical documentation, SOPs, and architecture diagrams.

  • Highly developed analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize and complete project tasks within required deadlines.

  • Drive and resourcefulness in making contributions both inside and outside areas of specifically assigned responsibilities.

  • Ability to present ideas effectively to individuals or groups when given time for preparation; targeting presentations to characteristics or needs of the audience. Presenting complex/technical information in a form that non-technical people can understand.

  • General understanding of business processes.

  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing in diverse situations with all levels of management, vendors, customers (internal), and peers.

  • Ability and willingness to continue to expand knowledge and experience base.

  • Ability to function as part of a team, involving and supporting others to get the job done.

$165,000 - $203,000 represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link. Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
