Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) Position Details:

Type: 13 or 20 weeks contract

Shift Start Time: Night 3x12-Hours 

Location: Everett, WA

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history, vital signs, and overall condition.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications, dress wounds, and monitor wound healing.
• Manage and document vital signs and administer IV therapy.
• Assess and manage pain levels, administer pain medications, and use non-pharmacological pain management techniques.

• Assist with and interpreting diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging studies.
• Continuously monitor and record vital signs, promptly addressing abnormalities.
• Manage and maintain IV lines, administer fluids, and monitor IV therapy.

• Collaborate closely with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
• Advocate for patients' rights and preferences while ensuring compassionate care.
• Ensure patient safety by following safety protocols and reporting concerns.
• Be well-versed in emergency response protocols and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Active Washington State RN License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Two professional references are required. Charge RNs are accepted.
•  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•  Ability to work well in a fast-paced Hospital environment.
• Successfully complete and pass a background check and drug test.
