Finance Specialist Part-Time

Position Summary

The Finance Specialist reports directly to the Finance Director and is responsible for all accounts payable functions and miscellaneous income postings.

Key Accountabilities

• Audits invoices, expense reports, and other disbursements for approval in accordance with company policies to ensure accurate and appropriate payments.
• Reviews coding on invoices and posts accounts payable transactions to the general ledger to ensure proper accounting of expenses.
• Creates vendor checks and patient and insurance company refund checks.
• Monitors past due invoices and follows up with appropriate parties so the organization remains in good standing with vendors.
• Ensures that all financial deadlines regarding accounts payable are met for month end and year end financial closings.

Minimum Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of Accounts Payable or Bookkeeping experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to handle competing priorities and deadlines by demonstrating excellent time management skills.
• Works effectively and collaboratively in a team environment or independently as required.
