About this job
As mechanical lead of a project team, you will direct team engineers in the mechanical design and development of complex electro-optical systems for military and/or aerospace applications.Â
Duties will include:
- Leading efforts to create mechanical system design solutions and architecture.
- Detailed design CAD models and drawings.
- Analyzing systems, initiating procurements.
- Assisting in assembly and testing of systems.
- Preparing technical reports.
- Leading design review meetings.
- Creating new concepts in support of business development opportunities.
Experience and expertise required:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
- MS of Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 8 years relevant experience minimum.
- Expertise in ANSYS and Creo softwares.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
