Medical Assistant

Actalent is currently hiring for a Medical Assistant opportunity in the Fairfax, VA area!

Job Description:

• Rooming patients and documents all vital information
• Scribing information for the dermatologist
• Providing post op wound care to patients
• Drawing blood and suture removal
• Cleaning and stocking the exam rooms
• Scheduling patient appointments

Skills:

• Medical assisting, Customer service, Emr, VITALS, Appointment scheduling, Patient intake, NEXTGEN, EMMA

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of recent experience in a medical office in a similar capacity is preferred
• Experience working in dermatology -preferred
• Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment
• Must be willing to travel to other clinic locations as needed
• Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record systems
• Must possess organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, clients, and visitors
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team

Education:

• Minimum post high-school education in a medical support field: (Non-Certified Medical Assistants will need to complete a certification program within the prescribed time period and maintain certification upon expiration).
