About the role: An eCommerce Specialist is a professional responsible for managing and executing the online sales strategies of a company. This role involves various tasks aimed at optimizing the online shopping experience and driving sales growth. Here’s a detailed job description for an eCommerce Specialist. The role of an eCommerce Specialist is crucial in today’s digital shopping landscape. They play a key role in driving online sales and enhancing the customer experience, contributing significantly to the overall success of the business. Essential Job Responsibilities: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned by management. Website Management: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the company's eCommerce website. Ensure the website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies. Product Management: Manage online product listings, descriptions, and categories to ensure accuracy and search engine optimization (SEO). Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure product availability and timely updates. Sales and Marketing: Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, and pay-per-click (PPC) campaigns, to drive traffic and increase sales. Analyze campaign performance and adjust strategies accordingly. Customer Experience: Monitor and improve the online customer journey, focusing on enhancing usability, reducing friction points, and ensuring a smooth checkout process. Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and reviews related to the online shopping experience. Analytics and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to track website traffic, conversion rates, and other key performance indicators (KPIs). Generate reports on eCommerce activities and performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Market Research: Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs. Stay informed about the latest eCommerce tools, platforms, and best practices. SEO and Content Management: Implement SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and visibility. Create and manage content for the website and marketing campaigns, including product information, blog posts, and promotional material. Technical Liaison: Collaborate with IT and web development teams to resolve technical issues, improve website functionality, and implement new features. Minimum Job Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. 4 years experience working in Amazon Sellers Central. Amazon International Experience and Ecommerce experience in some or all: eBay Amazon Walmart Google Shopping Shopify Instagram Proven experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or a related role. Strong understanding of eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce), analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), and digital marketing strategies. Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Knowledge of SEO principles, content management, and web design basics. Familiarity with web development languages (HTML, CSS) is a plus.
