International Co-Packing & Ingredients Business Development Manager PURPOSE - The International Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for achieving the sales objectives consistent with associated volumes and profit targets. The BDM is responsible for the sale of StarKist production by-products and management / communication required to maximize sale and profitability of said products. The BDM is also responsible for the international sale of co-packed products from StarKist facilities to customers in foreign markets. The BDM will act as the primary communication link between customers / brokers and StarKist to ensure appropriate resources are available and communication channels are open to guarantee successful execution of StarKist sales efforts. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES – International Co-packing BusinessAchieve business volume, net sales and operating income goals. Manage the sales planning process as well as the business strategies to fill the Ecuador Plant capacity in the most profitable way. Responsible for the Business volume forecast. Understand market trends and competitive information. Responsible for customer and broker relationships, order generation, claim management, product delivery according to customer’s expectations and payment. Work closely and efficiently with the International Ecuador team to monitor the order status summary, production updates, product cuttings, forecast, pricing requests, financial reports, samples and customer communication. Propose price quotes according to Corporate guidelines and manage approval and implementation. Monthly review of the sales volume, net sales and operating income vs. the Plan. Ingredient BusinessesGenerate profitable sales of the entire production of Fishmeal and Fish Oil out of the Samoa Plant and Red Meat out of the Ecuador Plant. Achieve volume, net sales and operating income goals. Provide strategic input, reflecting marketplace and customer requirements to support the planning process. Help to maximize the profitability of the Ingredient Businesses through the understanding of market opportunities. Develop a diversified portfolio of customers in different markets focusing on relationships that can grow in the medium and long-term according to market trends. Manage customer and broker relationships effectively. Deliver the Businesses volume forecast. Evaluate and get internal price approval to quote customers/brokers. Work closely and efficiently with the cross functional Teams at the Samoa and Ecuador Plants (Operations, Quality, Finance and Logistics Departments) as well as at the Corporate Office. Oversee that the orders are successfully delivered according client’s expectations. Monthly review of the sales volume, net sales and operating income vs. the Plan.
