Job Knowledge 

  • Fluent in reading of building plans and specifications
  • Fluent in a variety of construction hardware and software to support overall project planning
  • Skilled at selecting equipment, tools, materials and assembling crews to attack a given scope of work
  • Able to setup and erect all necessary access/shoring equipment competently. This includes but is not limited to the following: Aerial lifts, Swing stages, Scaffolding, and Structural Shoring
  • Certification per company standard in the operation of a Skid Steer, Material Handler, Fork Truck
  • Competent in building layout with the assistance of a Superintendent. This includes but is not limited to the following:
    • Setting corners, offsets, benchmarks, and elevations
    • Cross referencing and verifying layout set by others to prevent re-work of our contract/subcontract scope
  • Thorough knowledge of material performance constraints with concrete, masonry, steel, and wood construction
  • Lead crew members and collectively perform high level work with little supervision in a quality, productive and professional manner. This includes but is not limited to:
    • Teaching, guiding, improving skill sets of those around you
    • Pre-planning work of all crews on site, communicating, and reinforcing daily
    • Forecasting, scheduling, and ordering manpower, equipment and material needs
    • Coordinating across submittals, shop drawings, design drawings, RFIs
    • Integrating actual cost tracking data into planning of daily production goals
    • Executing and reinforcing SSRG management policies
    • Thorough knowledge of concrete procedures and terms, such as but not limited to:
      • Pre-pour Inspections, moisture testing, & pull testing
      • Material handling, excavating
      • Building wood forms, installing rebar, chalking lines
      • Mixing and installing grout, concrete, epoxies, caulking
      • Cutting, chipping, breaking, grinding of hardened concrete
      • Wheelbarrowing, bucketing, raking, vibrating of fresh concrete
    • Thorough knowledge of masonry procedures and terms, such as but not limited to:
      • New brick & stone veneers
      • New CMU walls (4, 6, 8, 10, 12, etc.)
      • Repair/replacement of brick & CMU (individual unit replacement)
      • Repair/replacement of stone (Dutchman, patching with specified materials)
    • Thorough knowledge of structural steel procedures and terms, such as but not limited to:
      • Blasting, cleaning, and coating steel
      • Cutting, torching, grinding, drilling, bolting of structural steel
    • Thorough knowledge of structural framing and carpentry practices, such as but not limited to:
      • Building, wrecking, staging of scaffolding, shoring, forms, walls
      • All aspects of wood and metal framing, drywall, and drop ceilings
    • Thorough knowledge of roofing, flashing, waterproofing, and caulking
    • Thorough knowledge of paints and coatings
    • Thorough knowledge of deep foundation procedures and terms, such as but not limited to:
      • Push piers
      • Helical piles
      • Underpinning

 



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4 years of Field Experience
  • OSHA 30
  • Ability to Lift, Push, Pull up to 75lbs
  • Completion of FAST Safety program Level 3 within 30 days of hire/promotion
  • Can be expected to travel. This travel is anticipated in the following states, but is not limited to:
    • Ohio
    • Indiana
    • Pennsylvania
    • Kentucky
    • West Virginia
    • Tennessee
  • Be willing and able to work all necessary shifts, including but not limited to the following:
  • 1st shift
  • 2nd shift
  • 3rd shift
  • Weekends
  • 5-8s, 4-10s, 5-10s, 4-12s, 5-12s, 6-10s, 6-12s, etc.
