Direct Hire

$20 / hr.

Day Shift 6am – 4:30pm

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing and recruiting firm, has an exciting opportunity with a locally owned and operated Baton Rouge company.  We are recruiting for a Direct Hire position with them.  They are seeking an experienced CDL A Delivery Driver that is also willing and able to assist in the warehouse when not out on deliveries.  Local driving, great Monday-Friday schedule 6am-4pm.  As a CDL Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods using a Moffett forklift-equipped truck. Your role is crucial in ensuring that our products are delivered promptly and in pristine condition to their valued customers. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for CDL Driver/warehouse: 

• Delivery of building materials
• Stoop, bend, climb, kneel, and squat regularly.
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds.
• Knowledgeable about safe and legal cargo load securement
• Able to safely operate a Moffett forklift, during loading and unloading of truck and in warehouse.
• Positive customer service attitude.
• Ability to haul (stock) sheetrock and other miscellaneous materials inside jobsites.
• Must be willing to help out in the warehouse while not out on deliveries

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Commercial driving: 2 years (Required)
• Valid CDL-A (Required)
• TWIC Card (Preferred)
• Past Moffett Forklift truck Experience (Required)

Work Environment:

• Outside in all weather conditions.
• Driver will also be required to work in the warehouse when not on the road.
