Join our team at Staffmark's Abingdon, MD location as we seek a Customer Support Specialist. In this role, you'll be instrumental in providing exceptional support to online students via phone, email, and live chat. Working within a collaborative team environment, you'll address a range of student needs, including financial service inquiries, technical support, registration assistance, and resolving issues related to course materials or textbooks. Your focus will be on delivering positive resolutions while ensuring compliance with university standards and policies, all within a student-centric approach.


Pay Rate: $18 per hour.

Various shifts available with a rotating schedule with different days of the week and times. Virtual training for 3 weeks, Monday to Friday, from 9 am EST to 6 pm EST.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide top-tier customer service via phone, email, and live chat in a team setting
  • Troubleshoot student support issues and coordinate solutions across various departments
  • Contribute to the development of customer service best practices and enhance service levels
  • Assist in implementing strategies to improve service operations efficiency
  • Uphold strict adherence to organizational procedures regarding security and confidentiality of student information


Qualifications:

  • Dedication to education and strong multitasking abilities
  • Exceptional communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Problem-solving skills for student issues and comfort with database management
  • Ability to connect with diverse student populations and adaptability to dynamic environments
  • Prior experience in service-oriented or technical support roles (1-3 years)
  • Familiarity with online learning technology is a plus
