Sales Manager/Senior Team Member (“Sales Manager”)

The Legato Group at Douglas Elliman Real Estate is a growing real estate team with an emphasis on new development sales. We are actively seeking a senior team member that will simultaneously serve as a Sales Manager for a luxury condominium project in the City of Fairfax, Virginia and perform standard residential resale transactions.

The Sales Manager will meet with clients, manage a small team of sales center associates and interact with both the project sponsor and team leader. The Sales Manager will report to the team leader.

Working with the team leader, responsibilities include, but are not limited to: CRM management, lead distribution and management, sales center associate training, implementation of best practices, drafting policies and procedures for the sales center, preparation of contracts and related documents, production of a weekly traffic report, introduction of preferred partners to customers, providing high-level customer service, attention to detail and interfacing with the project sponsor as requested.

The Sales Manager will also be required to attend events such as grand opening celebration, client meetings, selections appointments, scheduled and ad-hoc meetings, including designated weekend hours at the sales center.

The person fulfilling the Sales Manager position will have the option of conducting sales outside of the sales center for clients within their sphere of influence or partnering with other agents in the brokerage.         

Required Experience: Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 5-7 years in residential sales and/or a sales center. Must posses exceptional written and verbal communications skills. A Virginia real estate salesperson or associate broker license is required. The successful candidate must also agree to and pass a background and/or criminal history check.

Desired Qualifications: A hospitality background is highly desired. Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required.

Compensation: This is an independent contractor (1099) position. Compensation related to the development project is earned and paid at closeout of the project. Residential resale transactions, outside of the development project, are paid at settlement per standard procedures as indicated in Douglas Elliman ICA and company policy manual.
