Pay/Pay Range: $30 - $50 per hour, depending on experience + 3% commission on jobs competed in a timely manner

Summary:

We are working with a busy, fast-growing, MA-based mechanical company that is looking for an HVAC Technician to join their team! This position will focus on new construction and retro fits in both single-family and multi-family, as well as some lite commercial.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Install, repair, and maintain furnaces, thermostats, line sets, duct work, humidifiers, A/C, and mini splits for residential customers
• Collaborate with general contractors, electricians, and other construction professionals.
• Follow building plans and blueprints.
• Respond to, diagnose, and resolve HVAC emergencies
• Light construction, carpentry, painting, plastering, flooring, ceiling, and electrical work as required.
• Prepare bids, budgets, and cost estimates.
• Keep accurate records of time spent working, description of work performed, and materials used.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• 3 yrs. of HVAC experience
• Understanding of the refrigeration cycle required
• Knowledge of applicable Massachusetts codes
• Knowledge of ductwork sizing preferred
• Knowledge of low-voltage wiring preferred
• Universal EPA license preferred
• Experience with Sheet metal work preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Valid Driver’s License
• Must have your own hand tools
• Good time-management and people skills

Environmental Conditions:

Residential environment at new construction, customers’ homes, and on the road between customers.

Physical Capabilities:

Must be able to handle the physical demands associated with HVAC work, including bending, kneeling, and working in a prone position. Carrying over 50lbs at times. Sitting in vehicle for extended timeframe.
