Job Summary

Mirbeau Inn and Spa is looking to add a Host/Hostess to the Wine Bar and Bistro in our Plymouth Mirbeau Inn & Spa location.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure tables, silverware and glasses are clean and properly set up.
  • Take and schedule reservations by phone and in person.
  • Greet guests, escort them to their tables, present menus, and make course recommendations upon request.
  • Ensure guests receive prompt courteous service and respond to complaints and comments or refer the responses to the Restaurant Manager.
  • Supervise service to assist servers when needed.
  • Complete the guest satisfaction cycle by thanking guests and inviting them to return with a fond farewell.
  • Ensure no section of the dining room is overlooked.
  • Check with the guest if everything is satisfactory.
  • Refill water for guests at tables.
  • Care for decoration of the dining room for special events if needed.
  • Perform any assignments as directed by the Restaurant Manager.

Qualifications, Skills & Educational Requirements

This position requires a pleasant personality and neat appearance, along with excellent people, verbal and writing skills. Prior experience in the industry is preferred.
