Job Summary
Perform radiographic imaging procedures to assist providers in diagnosing injuries and disease.

Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner
  • Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
  • Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked
  • Process images, review for proper identification and quality control and prepare images for reading by a provider as well as radiologist overreads
  • Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all policies and procedures
  • Perform routine quality control on all diagnostic equipment and ensure compliance with government and accreditation guidelines
  • Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for service inspections and repairs as needed
  • Willingness to cross-train in other roles as appropriate including medical assisting and reception to support other clinical team members during downtime
  • Able to perform venipuncture
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited radiology program
  • Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, preferred but new grads welcomed to apply
  • ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
  • Maryland Radiologic Technologist License or license eligible
