Job Summary
Perform radiographic imaging procedures to assist providers in diagnosing injuries and disease.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner
- Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
- Maintain a neat and clean working environment and ensure all supplies have been ordered and stocked
- Process images, review for proper identification and quality control and prepare images for reading by a provider as well as radiologist overreads
- Utilize both digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and all policies and procedures
- Perform routine quality control on all diagnostic equipment and ensure compliance with government and accreditation guidelines
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, arranging for service inspections and repairs as needed
- Willingness to cross-train in other roles as appropriate including medical assisting and reception to support other clinical team members during downtime
- Able to perform venipuncture
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program
- Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, preferred but new grads welcomed to apply
- ARRT-registered or board eligible preferred.
- Maryland Radiologic Technologist License or license eligible
