WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

The Ag Fertilizer Plant Operator/Mechanic will be responsible for daily operations of the conventional and organic fertilizer plants and daily maintenance and repairs. The operator/Mechanic will ensure all equipment is properly maintained to minimize unexpected down time, and ensure all safety protocols are strictly adhered to.

JOB DUTIES:

BRUNDAGE FERTILIZER PLANT

  • Blend fertilizers to meet recommendations
  • Load and dispatch trucks
  • Perform other duties as necessary to assist AG.
  • Some travel required to multi-site locations.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.

AVENAL SOY PLANT

  • Provide maintenance support
  • Prepare and deliver blending materials

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid California Driver’s License

Required Skills And Abilities:

  • Must have knowledge of and be able to use basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to speak and communicate in English.
  • Must have good organizational skills and communication skills.
  • Basic computer and Microsoft Office products preferred.
  • Knowledge of Farming practices preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous experience in an agricultural production environment


Physical Demands:

  • Work will be conducted in office, facility and farm areas.
  • Ability to occasionally lift to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Environmental exposure- seasonal outdoor temperatures.
  • Must work with PPE in dusty and liquid chemicals environment.
