Reservation Specialist

Trimper Rides/Marty's Playland of Ocean City is looking to hire 2 skilled Reservation Specialists. Our ideal candidates are tech savvy and experienced in booking platforms such as Direct Booking and Airbnb.

Hours:  Day/Evenings/Weekends Required

FLSA:   Full-time Seasonal, Part-time Seasonal

Job Responsibilities:

• First and last contact for our guests
• Handle booking of reservations in person, by phone, website and Airbnb
• Efficiently manages the operations of the front desk, ensuring minimal time is required for check in and checkout
• Maintain reservation calendar to ensure reservation consistency and execution
  
• Taking proper payments and or deposits and recording properly
• Maintains knowledge of hotel policies including room rates, discounts, special offerings, and community events.
• Maintain Binders for each unit with proper documents
• Answering questions about the entire property, including sister locations
  
• Work closely with the marketing team on all advertising materials, social media and special events.
• Anticipating guest needs, and meeting or exceeding those needs
• Responding to and resolving guest inquires and complaints
• Coordinating with other departments to ensure guests feel well-cared for and valued.
• This person should be very comfortable interacting with guests and potential clients in a highly professional manner
• Coordinate housekeeping staff and oversee turnovers to ensure cleanliness standards are met
• Checking and walking through units to confirm all have been cleaned thoroughly and ready for check ins.
• Maintain inventory of rental supplies and replenish when necessary

Skills and Qualifications: 

• Attention to detail
• Previous experience in reservations, Airbnb or property management
• Excellent Customer service experience
  
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Skill using computer software programs including Airbnb, WRP, or other booking platforms
  
• Highly motivated self-starter, a hard worker with a high energy level; a “doer” with a willingness to work hands-on in assisting customers and staff.  
  
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures
• Ability to initiate and build relationships with customers and interact via telephone and in person with customers
  
• Ability to maintain a high level of poise and professionalism in all circumstances
  

Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to go up and down flights of stairs multiple times a day
• Ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach throughout your shift
