Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Manager/ Junior Chief Administrative Officer to lead our operational excellence initiatives within Granules Pharmaceuticals. As an Operations Manager/ Junior Chief Administrative Officer you will be the point of contact for coordinating pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and ensuring smooth operations by optimizing our manufacturing operations to achieve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Your role will involve process optimization, supply chain management, performance tracking, and continuous improvement, with a focus on reducing cost to our organization.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations:

  • Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously monitor and refine processes to maximize efficiency.
  • Develop and oversee schedules, production requirements and headcount to determine the most cost effective and efficient methods of obtaining necessary resources while ensuring improved performance with respect to quality, cost, delivery, safety and morale, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor operational performance.
  • Identify and evaluate current suppliers and purchase price and develop solution for cost reduction using accounting principles to ensure a consistent and cost effective flow of materials.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of production processes and equipment maintaining product functionality, cost efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Utilize data analysis to drive decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Engage employees in problem solving initiatives and encourage innovation.
  • Implement methodologies such as kaizen, six sigma, or lean six sigma to drive ongoing process enhancement.

Reporting

  • Provide regular timely reports, interpret manufacturing activity data and present results.
  • Perform Cost Analysis report on components and production costs as needed.

Inventory Management

  • Maintain inventory management system. Analyze and reconcile inventory levels.
  • Provide forecast and ensure on-time delivery of finished products to ensure new pharmaceutical launch.

Collaboration

  • Work proactively in addressing potential issues and applies real-time problem-solving skills when working towards resolution.

Perform other duties and projects as assigned my management

Requirements:

Minimum Experience & Education

  • MBA or Masters in Operations Management / Supply Chain Management, or related discipline OR;
  • Bachelors in Operations Management / Supply Chain Management with minimum 2+ years of related experience in pharmaceutical industry


Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Planning, Forecasting
  • Team Management
  • Operations Management
  • Continuous improvement methodologies including kaizen, six sigma, or lean six sigma
  • Understanding of SAP, MS Office Suite, Analytical tools
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations in FDA approved plants would be a plus
